Is PARADISE 2 better dive than ONE??!!

Tough question!! Well......case by case!! Paradise 2 is reefs slope down to sandy bottom to greater depth 13 or 15 meter. Lot's lifes can easy to observe here!! For easy to encounter marine life's behaviour that need to gentle and pace yourself. Don't take picture 1st just watch around then to decide where make the angle. You will be surprise that how closer to get with its!! Unless come face with Manta, Eagle Ray or Whale Shark!! But again don't chase because it swim faster and can away in second!! To Dive at this site any certify level can do but for PARADISE ONE really need good navigation skill!! Here below the 12 video footages recently taken on Paradise 2!! Tips for Diver:-To take picture or filming video really need patient, observe 1st, stay still or don't move, give a distance less then 2 meter, blow small bubbles, facing againt current and if possible be alone with subject (Don't too much crowd!! Your buddy will choose other subject nearby)!! When the behaviour starts then move slowly to get closer and closer!!

Where is House Reef "PARADISE"??

Paradise 1 is in front of Dive center jetty shown as picture above here!! Not to the Seaventure oil-rig resort!! Just about 50 meter from dock to front and wide about 150 meter coverage!! One of the House Reef that sandy bottom and seagrass beds. Difference marine life can seen here compare to Corals Reefs (can view the video footages on the title of why it's name PARADISE!!). To make this house reef more fun for divers during self dive, artificial reef such as coconut leaves, chopped coconut trunks, used rubber tyres, bottles, broken fishing nets, broken floating buoy and broken cement blocks was created. All material above mention are less in cost and friendly to marine environment!! We had to create more house reef for in case of peak seasons to prevent divers JAM!!

Diver can spend more time just dive below the Jetty and the next sundeck platform!! Just watch the head, don't touch the wood post and please give room for the boats to park!!

Paradise 2 is on left hand side of Dive center!! It's full of coral reefs from above down to sandy bottom. Most Reef fishes can be seen here!! 3 common school fishes such as two spot snapper, goatfish and Barracuda. It's best for night dive too!! But now few resorts jetty was been built and many divers especially in afternoon boat dive!! In the evening at 1700 only our resort guests don self dive but soonest later more others divers will be around..... The Best to dive at early morning 0600 or just morning at 0800!! Self dive at this site just follow left hand side of reefs and keep deep, when coming back to jetty just turn to right hand side and keep on shallow reef. Dive on this site need to plan well and don't swim too fast and far!! Each year in July we had transplant corals here on this site for research study. Please be careful on corals wherever diving!!

Diver has to watch up boat traffic on shallow depth between left side end of Dive Center to the beginning floating buoy shown on picture above. Sound can be clearly listen underwater but don't know where it come from!! If hear engine sound just stay down below because the boat come will fast goes pass....... After sound passed then up to surface!! One of Diver's Rules of Thumb - Always self take care underwater!! To dive under those resort jetty also has to be watch out on illegal fishing activity!! Its out of our control on stubborn people!!

Why it's name PARADISE??

Good question!! Well!! It was 14 years ago when we give the House Reef name!! It really given us hard time to name this site we could easily name SWV House Reef, Green grass home, Seagrass garden, even Golf course!! Sandy floor or ground, Check dive point, Corals garden and blah blah blah!! Why not use under the name of fish??!! We have at that time full of marine life!! Anemone point, Pipefish garden, Lion Point, Eel Kingdom, Sweetlips, Frog Fish, Mandarin, Cardinal point and even best was Cleaning Station!! All the name mention above BUT in the end we come out with the name of "PARADISE"!! To find out why PARADISE was name!! Here below was the 10 video clips that all taken recently on PARADISE 1. Yesterday our dive team went dive in Siamil Island saw big group Devil Rays. This picute taken by Fukuta Ikuo. Bravo........Ron who point out the school!!

Why Check Dive?!!

Just to refresh everyone that if you are new comer or been several years not been here should have to go for check dive or orientation dive. During this dive will check on your weight system, show us how confident on clearing mask and remove & replace regulator. After done the skills the Dive Guide will shown around the House Reef 1 and point out the marine life on this site. During the dive the Guide will check on each underwater skill and no camera allowed for this check dive. However can bring to test on camera or video housing. On this dive we want diver to familiar this site so that you can do self House Reefs dive with buddy after an hour minimum surface interval from boat dive. After the check is easy for boat dive and ready for just in case if any unforeseen thing happen!!

For information that House Reef 1 & 2 is best dive site where diver really can enjoy and practise on camera or video skills. You will really love this site than boat dive because can dive longer, it wasn't deep too, not too much crowd, easy to have your sweet time on taking pictures and can watch behavior of marine life. Just don't think because you pay so much that must boat dive. Money is important not only to you but also everyone around here. As come to enjoyment we don't count the figure. We allow the self House Reefs dive start at 6am end at before 6pm however should check the boat schedule if follow boat dive. Must Entry & Exit from the Dive center jetty and before dive do write down dive plan on white board. Dive center has the right to stop or charge anyone who disobey its rules & regulations.

Please do help take care the House Reefs by not kicking much on sands and corals. Don't disturb or touch any things that you not familiar with. To have a good picture taken please don't kill anything surround you. Help us on the spot with caution to any diver, snorkeler or villager if found doing things wrong. You can make it difference by help protect the sea grass and reefs!!

Just look around others why most cannot perform well the skills and yet we were been teach and practise at beginner level for many times......till we master!! Now who shall we blame for?!! The answer is we can't because it already passed and we need to go on with business........That's why CHECK DIVE help us to improve other for better skills!! That's shown how we CARES!!
